Acquisition The ms. was part of the Jarring collection of Eastern Turkistan manuscripts donated to the Lund University Library in 1982.

Su - le the name of the new city of Kashghar The letter is written by Taji (Tahir), son of Osman Khodja from Khoshabad, خوش ابادلق اوثمان خوجه نینک اوغلی طایی and dated 1273, in the horse year, the 13th of Ramadan, a Saturday. The document is provided with a seal in white and black. Size: 28 x 19cm Paper: Yellowish, coarse Khotan paper Provenance:
"Tayi" in http://laurentius.ub.lu.se/jarring/volumes/105.html) was typed as "Tajik" in the Lund Library Metadata. Rather than being a "k", it is probably a square bracket followed by an angel bracket. And in the bracket Jarring suggested the name Tahir as the real name of the man called Tayi.
